About the Artist
Len Hoard is a wonderfully talented Manitoba Artist. Grounded with creative prairie roots, and with the wealth of life experiences from many creative endeavors; Len's artist life has blossomed into works of true artistic inspiration. He started wood-working at age 18 and has won various awards and prizes for his work including People's Choice award for his hand-carved baby boots and an incredible grandfather clock with wood clock movements.
Len started creating Snydley carving in 1986. A photograph which featured a small mouse dangling precariously off a blade of grass inspired his first creation. His recreation of this mouse with more cartoonish features was an instant hit and he soon found himself making dozens of little mouse carvings.
Each Snydley piece is uniquely and individually hand created. For years they have been bringing joy to owners all around the world.
