Overview
In order for manufacturing to compete in today's economy, company's need to look

cost is to incorporate automation into the production process. Factory
automation involves the use of mechanical and electrical components to perform
tasks that may have been accomplished by hand. Typically these tasks can
be done faster and more accurately by a piece of equipment than by hand.
